Renting a warehouse in Germany usually means a multi-year commercial lease, a deposit of several months' rent, extra running costs and far more floor space than a small or growing business actually needs. For online sellers, tradespeople and SMEs, that rarely makes sense.

How much warehouse space do I need?

- 40 m² and larger: our biggest units, for larger volumes of goods. A very small number of even larger units, up to almost 100 m², are available at selected stores – availability is limited, so please ask our team.

Bulk warehouse space in Berlin, Bonn and Stuttgart
If your business needs far more room than a storage unit, we currently have large bulk spaces to let at three of our stores:
- Bonn: the entire top floor, up to 1,800 m²
- Stuttgart: the entire top floor, up to 1,800 m²
- Berlin: the basement, 684 m²
The top floors in Bonn and Stuttgart can be split into smaller areas if you don't need the full space. Terms for bulk space differ from our standard storage units, so please contact our team to discuss your requirements.

How much does it cost to rent warehouse space?

Is there a minimum rental period?
Our contract terms are flexible – rent for a few weeks or for the long term.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. You can rent business storage at Safestore without a deposit.
When can I access my unit?
All our stores are open for access 7 days a week from 6am to 10pm, and our Berlin store until midnight. You enter the store with a PIN code, and only you can open your unit with your own padlock.
Is there help with loading and unloading?
Trolleys are available to move your goods from your vehicle to your unit. Some stores also have covered loading bays and extra-large lifts.
Can I rent office space as well?
Some of our stores have office space available to rent alongside your storage unit. Ask your local store about availability.
